The name's Melissa (Barber) Sostre and I'm glad you found me! I'm a traveling lifestyle photographer + videographer + graphic designer that gets (probably overly) excited over authentic emotions and actions that take place between everyday people. And snacks. I get super excited about all things snacky.
I was born and raised in the vast cornfields of New Richland, MN, and I will confidently stand my ground that tater tot hot dish is easily one of man's greatest creations. Fight me.
My family has been traveling full-time in our RV since October 2020, and I hope to catch you on the road someday.
In the summer of 2025, I'm embarking on an extraordinary event called the Clipper Round the World Race. I've never sailed before but I'm absolutely THRILLED to take part in Leg 1 where I'll competitively sail across the Atlantic from the UK to South America for 30+ days. Gimme all the intimidating, adventurous and questionable things!

In October, 2020, my little family made the impromptu decision to sell all our belongings in southern Minnesota and live full-time in an RV.
Midlife crisis? ...Perhaps.
Whatever you wish to call it, we are living our dream and learning along the way, while waking up with a new backyard whenever we wish. My husband, daughter and the World's Okayest Cat are on a lifelong mission to see the world and bring some brightness back into focus. We believe in living a very minimalistic, courageous and simple life and devote our time to planning our next adventure together. Our lives are defined by meaningful conversations, seeing the world, taking massive risks, doing good deeds and being the first in our social circle to risk it all and try something out of the ordinary.
